Contrary to previous long-held beliefs, constant cleaning of carpets actually prolongs their life.
Tony Lewis and Adrian Coombes, who established Natural Choice Carpet Cleaning 18 months ago after many years in the industry, say regular cleaning removes all the harmful grit and dirt, keeping the carpet looking good for longer.
``It's an old idea that constant cleaning is harmful and actually speeds up the wear but with modern methods that's just not the case," Mr Lewis said.
``We believe having carpets steam cleaned every six months is the optimum way to care for them but we are happy to do the cleaning at whatever intervals the client wants."
The business partners will also organise general cleaning of domestic or commercial properties including window cleaning, bathroom cleaning, stripping and sealing of vinyl flooring and any other job.
``Basically we can deliver whatever the property owner wants in the way of household cleaning."
Cleaning the upholstery of lounge and dining suites is a specialty as is the availability of stain-guard products to prolong the life of the fabric.
