Despite concerns to the contrary, steam cleaned carpets will dry within a day in winter.
Lynden's Cleaning and Restorations owner operators Mick Bird and Lyndee England said although steam-cleaned carpets naturally dried quicker in summer, they didn't take a couple of days to dry in the colder months as many people thought.
``The time factor should not be an issue for people who want to have their carpets cleaned because a day is all it takes for them to dry," Mr Bird said.
The business partners, who have completed courses at The Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration School in Sydney, added that no job was too big or small.
They were not restricted as to what they could do and were able to complete jobs at high-rise buildings and units, office complexes and homes.
``General cleaning of carpets and upholstery is just part of what we can do," Ms England said.
``Our qualified cleaning technicians can do restoration work and are available to do the clean-up and preparation work for properties damaged by fire or water."
According to Mr Bird, many people unfortunately tried to remove stains themselves with ``under the kitchen sink" cleaners - as well as window and floor cleaners - which caused more harm than good.
He said it was important to call a professional carpet cleaner as quickly as possible when it came to successful stain removal.
``This is important because we must treat the stain before it sets into the carpet permanently," Mr Bird added.
